This past week, the tough times returned once again for Yorktown on the diamond.

The Wildcats faced tough opponents this week in the form of Flatonia and Weimar. Tuesday, Yorktown faced off against Flatonia, but came up short by a 20-0 final score. Later in the week, Weimar made a visit to Yorktown, beating the Wildcats 14-1.

Overall, Yorktown has a very young team and should see vast improvement as their experience level increases.

Each game sees the players mesh with one another as they learn to predict where the ball will be going and how each other will react.

The Kitty Kats started the week off with a bang, taking home a win over Kenedy by a score of 14-7.

At home on Friday evening, they would fall 23-5 to Falls City. With fair batting and up-and-coming pitching, the Kitty Kats should improve to see some improvement in the coming seasons as the players grow more accustomed to the diamond.

Kicking off their season, Nordheim faced off against Agua Dulce on Friday.

Falling to Agua Dulce 17-7, the Pirates are still a young program overall. As the Pirates get more streamlined and come together on the field, look for them to become a local standout on the field.
